I'D Let You Pull On My Strings........ - Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

You are
my little pacemaker.
So lovely to look at.

Some time ago
you took up residence
in my heart.

I wanted you
to have
the best chamber,
with less turbulence
and little flooding.
So you would be comfortable
in my Drum.

As it turns out -
you have become
a most precious
guest and treasure
inside me.
Lovely to look at.

So, I was thinking
of asking you about it:
Would you like to stay on
as the
Queen of My Heart?

I like the analogy, and such an apt one coming from a physician (Report) Reply

For this princess I will do all the cleaning up. And then some.
I will be wearing the apron and the strings will be widely visible, of course.

Nice, very, very nice, but what if she's a messy 'heart guest': -) (Report) Reply
