Darkness Herself

I Deny Believing - Poem by Darkness Herself

I didn't really want to let you go
But I know that inside me I must
My heart said stay but it's my mind I must trust
We shared so much together
So much that I would never ever forget
We laughed, played, joked
Teased each others, quarreled
Spent such funny times together
Yet I still remember the night we spent
But now we must walk away from each other
And allow ourselves to heal
Our time's up though I deny believing

This poem has the feeling that the parting is because of death. Though, even if not, it still shows how being separated from a close friend or lover IS just that painful. (Report) Reply
