I hear the soft music of a piano,
coming from a local church
The music is sad
I don't know why

My wife's sister's daughter has been to church
She lives in our cottage with her family.
Today Sunday she went for service
I swear she came back sad
I don't know why

Is it the stories of fire and brimstone?
Going to hell for eternity?
Perhaps the tithes?
You pay to go to heaven

I don't know
So many whys
I don't know why
Don't want to lie
I don't know why.
