I Endlessly Crave... - Poem by JeanPierre Barakat

I endlessly crave for the Day
Where misty dreams reveal
Wondrous sights of delight
In the silent dew of dawn

I endlessly crave for the Truth
Which is neither mine nor yours
Lying somewhere in between
The conclusive and elusive in me

I endlessly crave for Rebirth
In the eternal cycle of life
For I have lived and died in vain
In visions of heaven and hell

I endlessly crave for Insight
To clear the infinite grey areas
Of the answers I try to give and
The questions I never dare to ask.
