I Go On Alone On The Road (W. M. Lermontov) Poem by Yuri Starostin

I Go On Alone On The Road (W. M. Lermontov)

I go on alone on the road (w. M. Lermontov)

I go on alone on the road,
The siliceous path glitters throughout the fog;
The silent night, the desert listens to the God,
And the star with the star talk about.

Solemn and wonderful in the heaven!
The land sleeps in the blue illuminate...
What is I have so hurt and so hard?
What is I wait? What is to I regret?

I do not expect from a life nothing
And I don't pity a past case no a little bit;
I'm looking for a freedom and for a peace!
I'd like to forget and go to asleep!

But not by the cold sleep of the grave...
I wanted forever to fall asleep,
That the life force was dozing in the chest,
So, breathing, the chest heaving quiet;

So all night, all day, my hearing to cherish,
To love me the sweet voice sang.
Over me, to always green able,
The dark oak was bent and rustled.
