I heard and read too

I heard American Gandhi saying
"I am laying off my gun"
Even though it was purchased 30 years ago
I have decided to let it go

What has the weapon to do?
When truth is to be passed through
Is it not useless to own weapon?
And send the innocent people to heaven

With the second amendment in constitution
I think it is worthless to have its continuation
Weapons are of no use
If they are used to take lives

In recent months, it has taken lives of many people
Some madman opens fire on school children
Some fires at crowded place
I want to be out of shooting race

I will not put it for sale
If that passed to some school child
And he repeats same shoot story
I will dismantle weapon and feel no sorry

India won freedom through non-violence
America has moral responsibility, hence
Encourage such people to profess for no weapon
The liberty and freedom may be really won
