I Insist Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Insist

Rating: 5.0

I do not exist
Yet insist
Welfare for all
With sincere call

I get lost fast
In painful memory last
To remember
And whisper

How many did lost their lives?
In freedom struggle for us to live
How many went in jails?
For us to avail free breathe

I feel aimless existence
That enters mind at once
I love freedom's presence
But feel sour for sad appearance

Do we really enjoy open air?
Do we feel fine and fair?
I think answer is no where
I look at sky and stare

Nature granted us everything
Free air, water and bird's singing
What else we need to enjoy freedom?
The quick answer may be heard seldom
