I long for these conversations; I long for 'I love you',
'How was your day, babe? ' Did I make you smile too?
Simple they sound, but profound they are.
I long for those lovely 'how are you's? ' that can only come from my baby's heart.
As I still look towards the skies, glancing beyond many distant lands,
Maybe I'll find someone, somewhere someday who'll finally understand my heart.
The way it feels when it's sad, even though at times I might wear a smiling face,
To look beyond those fake smiles and actually understand what it says.
Whispering those tender words of love, giving it a warm hug,
Cuddling those sad pains away and wiping those little tear drops.
I long for all these conversations. I long for priceless moments like this and more.
I long for that perfect heart, that'll finally make me understand the difference between love and true love.
