I'll buy you a bagel
on the Trocadero square
and you will say:
Why not a little?

I'll give you a pendant with
the motif of the Eiffel Tower
and you will say:
Why not a little?

I'll tell you to keep yourself
where are you going at night
because this is a dangerous city
and you will say again:
Why not a little?

But when you're on Pigalle
in the middle of the night
I buy hot chestnuts
you'll throw them out of your hand
because they are hot and you will say:
I am happy that I am little.

Kupiću ti đevrek
na trgu Trokadero
i reći ćeš:
Zašto, nisam mala?

Pokloniću ti privjesak sa
motivom Ajfelove kule
i reći ćeš:
Zašto, nisam mala?

Rećiću ti da paziš
kuda ideš noću
jer je ovo opasan grad
a ti ćeš opet reći:
Zašto, nisam mala?

Ali kad ti na Pigalu usred noći
kupim vruće kestenje
bacaćeš ih iz ruke u ruku
jer su vreli i rećićeš:
Radujem se što sam mala.
