I'm Yet To Figure Out…

Rating: 4.8

I'm yet to figure out…

Enthralling man or enchanting aura,
I'm yet to figure out what made me flushed in rapture,
I'm found my heart conspired against me for him,
His one word makes me euphoric like a morning bird
I'm yet to figure out what made my heart his belonging.
I'm yet to figure out why my thought belongs to him more than myself,
I'm yet to figure out what brings him in my early morning thoughts,
I'm yet to figure out who allows him to be my mid-night thought.
I want to ask when exactly he take over my most primal belongings,
I want to ask why we even crossed path when we never had a common path.
I want to ask what were those exact qualities which made him exceptional.
I want to ask who will pass verdict on him for breaking into my thoughts and stealing my mind.
I was never easy to anyone but he conquers me nonchalantly, I wonder how?
OK, for now I forgive my prudish heart for loving him,
Just one question-is it mistake or a learning?
If it's learning then I yet to figure out- what to learn from this?
"How to love or how not to love? "

A beautiful, well written poem. I like the way you construct your poems.

Liked the way how you wrote it's ending with a question, makes us really ponder about what you asked. Maybe what we gain is the strength to face all this.

(cont.) i suspect that the narrator (you! ?) may be INFATUATED with him. this would mean: 'you' may: be inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for (someone or something) . see SHORT-LIVED? it COULD turn into 'real love' [whatever THAT is], AND your attraction to 'him' may become less INTENSE {bothersome? } but stronger in some ways. You are not afraid to write your innermost thoughts which is so refreshing, you're fearless, so talented and a true original!

I want to ask who will take verdict on him for braking into my thoughts and stealing my mind.. yes in every relationship you learn a lot how to love, how to relate, how all the negative and positive attitudes in you influence the relationship......... both of you are learning...... very fine poem on relationship, love, friendship and the way up to a strong relationship.. thank u for this poem. tony

When love happens first, it baffles the heart with the questions you have asked in this poem.Because it is a beautiful feeling, heart gives least resistance in spite of all the questions.

A very beautiful poem that touches a chord with the readers, because love is a universal feeling and there is no one who can remain untouched by love.

'crossed paths'..not 'crossed path' ....'then I yet to figure out' use '...am yet...' Maybe more proofreading would make the poem as good as I know it can be. Even so, I give 4 stars. ****
