I May Not Rise Tomorrow Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

I May Not Rise Tomorrow

Rating: 4.9

Always keep me in your heart
I may not be able to rise
Tomorrow to see a new dawn
It will not be a surprise

Keep me always in your mind
For the love I have for you
For the love I have for flowers
And drops of shining dew

You must remember me for all
The deeds bad and good
I did knowingly or unknowingly
Till now since my childhood

I have lived my life as I wished
With malice towards none
I regret if I have done you wrong
Or disrespect I have shown

I may not wake up tomorrow to
Smile and say you hello
I wish on my tomb you to write
‘Here lies a nice fellow'

Keep me always in your mind For the love I have for you For the love I have for flowers And drops of shining dew..........I feel the sad emotions embodied in the text! Man is mortal is the truth but his profound love expressed for his dear ones in written form makes an indelible impression! Well penned! (10)
