I Need Silence



I need to be in solitude
To watch the flying birds
And during setting of the spring
How they in flocks move skywards

I need to sit in silence
To hear the sweet sound
Of the stream as it moves on
Cutting the stones and hard ground

I need time for myself
To sit in silence and pray
To Him who makes the world
Move and lets me see a fresh day
