Even after all these married years,
I still love waking up next to you
You’re lying on your side, on my left arm,
Head resting on my shoulder
And your arm stretched across my chest,
Our legs are intertwined
I can feel the rhythm of your breathing
And your warm breath against my skin
Even though you are still asleep
Your closeness overwhelms my senses
I have been awake for an hour
But, I don’t want to move
For then, the moment would be broken
And I revel in this moment
