I Sent A Kiss Poem by john (called jack) wren

I Sent A Kiss

I sent a kiss wrapped in a flower
by pixies in the still of night
picked from a secret bower
its golden petals held it tight
they placed it on the doorstep
by the door of one so fair
at early dawn she found it
and placed it in her hair
she glanced up at a rainbow
on her way to the fair
my flower fell to the ground
my kiss still in its care
she gently raised it to her hand
my flower with its kiss
and joined me on the rainbow
for a day of perfect bliss
