I share it honestly

I really felt bad
When she told
About possible break up and departure
I sank deep in thought and tried to reassure
"No, it should not happen"
I argued with heartbroken
Why should she think even slightly?
Was my love like glass apparently?
I gave her lot many gifts
On occasions like birthday and festivals
But she seemed not happy with my gesture
Why was not so sure?
Her words fell on my ears
"Dear, I want no gits but your time and closeness"
I want you to be very close
That was the reason, I chose you
I awakened in a huff
Was this the only reason to cry or laugh?
I gave a second thought
And rushed to her to appraise the truth
I had no doubt!
When talked about us
You were a true lover
And I was a firm believer too
