I Smile Poem by arundhati sinha

I Smile

Rating: 2.8

The sun shines
Multiple colours of glory.
I see you and me-
Our story.
Hiccups and laughter;
Sepia toned afternoon birthday parties.
The mess after-
Balloons and spaghetti,
Din of children's laughter,
And our hearts
Unwrapped and tired
Of loving.
Hand in hand,
While the sun sets,
We have found heaven
Right here
Between my lips
Resting on yours
I smile. You know,
I'd be somewhere else
But not without you.
My meaning, reason, excuse-
Is you.
