I Think Light Breaks Poem by Sandra Fowler

I Think Light Breaks

Rating: 5.0

your eyes have burned the time to filigree.
Nothing is left of light's necessity.
Silence has interlocked us both in lace.
Great trees are fighting darkness for their space.
Eternal whiteness decorates the grass.
Leaves skim distance like ornaments of glass.
Is there a moon for such a heavy sky?
I think light breaks somewhere without a cry.

Absolutely fabulous, I agree with Mary, your poems are amazing to say the least. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem as I do all your poems that I have read. I doubt that you would have one I didn't enjoy. Thankyou Sandra--Melvina--

I love this poem and your poems in general. It's like other dimensions of life are unveiled. 'Leaves skim distance like ornaments of glass, ' sets off powerful and stunning images in my mind. A beautiful, beautiful poem!

Exquisite. Enlightened. Excellent. Words that suit your poetry the best, in my opinion. I often have a certain association brought by your poem: in this case it is the melody of Ennio Morriccone 'Chi Mai', poignant yet undescribably beautiful. Thanks for sharing.10+.... Amary.

Hello, Sandra! Many thanks for your images of sensitivity, quietness, musicality. How profound it is for me this last line: 'I think light breaks somewhere without a cry.' I believe your poems spread light for good! Love, Maria
