I Too Poem by Craig Steiger

I Too

I too sifted
Down the dark seductions of life,
Lacerated by faint perfumes
In sundown hallways,
I too woke alone
Where once a lover'd been,
Kitchens ominously silent.
I too tumbled across the glinting tines
Of love & devotion,
I too was doomed
To long sigh goodbye
On answer machines.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Yes, I too did travel the forbidden path Sought pleasures that would last Now wiser and with regrets of the past I find its evening with the mist falling fast........ Sir a fantastic poem with deeply ingrained meanings. I invite you to my page too for your comments

Nicely worded and fine discourse. I like it.
