I Turn To You Poem by mona martinez

when i'm feeling very low,
you are the one i turn to,
when nothing seem right,
you are the one i run to,
you know what to say,
you know how to get through to me,
if there wasn't a great person like you,
i don't know where i would be,
you open up my eyes,
and help me realize,
there is more here,
that i seem to be missing,
or just don't want to see,
but, you pull me back to earth,
when all i want to do is quit,
quit everything i have to go through,
quit my whole life,
but, you stop before,
i make a mistake,
that i know i will regret,
once i'm gone,
and leave this life,
i think of what i'm doing,
it help me fix what i'm doing wrong,
help me see it's not the way to go,
there is more to my life,
than just the hurt and the pain i'm feeling,
but, it become clouded,
when temptations to end my life,
becomes a pain in the @$$,
when i talk to you,
my problems disappear,
the way i feel about myself,
begins to fade,
into power to fight for what i can do,
to prove there is more to me,
than a girl who is just suicidal,
because days will get better,
with you by my side,
i will no longer think of suicide,
as my only way out,
i just become afraid of what life throws at me,
to think that the only way to go,
i don't know why,
maybe because for so long,
that was the way i thought,
if things don't go my way,
suicide is the way to go,
it tooken me so long,
just to realize,
that don't have to be me,
because there is more to me,
that you have helped me to see.
