I´ve tried to snatch you away from me
As an atheist I named myself,
I´ve tried to blot your name out from heaven
I´ve cried out loud you were dead
Up and down
Below and above running from you,
I ´ve run for live to find death only.
I soared high trying to hide myself away
from evidences of the divine I´ve stripped over daily.
You hunt me
You chase me
I couldn´t tell you from me …
You see me through
I´ve tried to be unholy and ungodly
I´ve tried to make a stand to prove my case right
I´ve tried to do my best
Philosophy, science, logic, mystic, religion …
What could I do, but empty -handed,
Ending up being pulled into your arms
by work of your grace
And by resting on your love for me
My search went deep a path toward my inmost being
And by faith my eyes wide open
My misery and solitude
Found rest in you.
What I thought to be afar
Now, to the reach of my heart
This mistery of being one …. One in you.
A lovely poem about the devine love. God indeed is everywhere and all studies bespeak his existence and greatness. We cannot but LOVE him. I invite you to read 'The mystery of silence, ' another way of courting GOD and seeking his blessings.
the touching of the soul by GOD will stretch the earth, near and far. once we have found the lord we will always give up our previous life. THIS IS A GREAT WRITE A TEN
