I Waltzed With My Papa (For Carmel Azzopardi) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

I Waltzed With My Papa (For Carmel Azzopardi)

Rating: 5.0

Yr smile is becoming a faded memory
But the Old Spice ghost my mind
And sometimes, I smell it at midnight
When I am in bed
Yr blue eyes were soft and kind
And yr voice, I will never forget
I dream about us at my wedding
That will not be celebrated
There's no point of this vision in white
But remain dreaming this fantasy
I wish it could've been
Only to realise that it will never be
