I Want To Wrap The Whole World In You Poem by Gert Strydom

I want to wrap the whole world in you,
I want to hold you very tightly against me,
not to overwhelm you
but to look at everything through your eyes.
You are far past precious for me
and where we now live at two places
the longing becomes a great pain
and the days do pass us so quickly.
When we are together everything becomes real and true,
it's as if we do experience love and the world
in the way that it is meant to be,
as if we spare up moments until we see each other again,
to be wonderful and exceptional
in a place full of love without despair or fear.
