I Was In Hell Poem by Randy McClave

I Was In Hell

Rating: 5.0

I dreamt that I was in Hell
Not, because of sinning or to dwell,
But, because I needed and wanted to heal
So, I was shown that Hell was real.
I was taken by an Angel there
Because I did worry and I did care.
It was awful, dreadful and very twisted
I knew then that Hell really, truly existed.
I still remember all of that darkness
And no starkness,
I remember the unbearable heat and fumes
Where pain and suffering indefinitely looms.
Then I heard the screams and the cries
From all that had committed sins and told lies,
Then I tried to say a prayer
But, God's word wasn't allowed down there.
All sins are judged the same
But, sinners always like to blame,
They pointed their fingers and they did curse
Wishing upon their family and friends the very worse.
I felt sorry for the sinners one and all
When with sin they all ignored God's call
Then I was taken to another horrific place
Still without God's love, or his forgiving grace.
I then saw the woman that I once had cherished
To Hell she had went after she had perished,
But, she was not there all alone
With her family and friends they did suffer and moan.
Everyday they were dragged to a lake of fire
Where they would confess their sins and their ultimate desire,
Daily and repeatedly she would confess her every sin
That she had committed or thought of to all women and men.
She again confessed how she had lied and cheated
How her family and friends because of her were defeated,
She told and spoke her every committed temptation and lie
And every tear that she had caused anyone to cry.
Everyday she told the sinner how they were used
And how she tricked them and also been abused,
And how that she had many times stole and cheated
Then all of her sins she just continually, painfully repeated.
That is how her eternity will be spent
Confessing evils and sins and not ever getting a chance to repent,
And all of her hate, lies, judging and guilt
It will become her personal Hell that she had built.
Then I who was in tears and sadness was taken away
Onto my knees to God I then fell down to pray
I knew that I didn't want to walk down that evil path
Never did I want to feel God's wrath.
Then I was told and takenand shown a place of peace
Where love, joy and kindness would never cease,
Then I asked about my tears for my beloved one
And the voice said, that pain and sadness will be gone.
Her family and her friends and me in heaven will remember her not
God will erase that memory and her awful thought,
In Heaven our peace and our love had just begun
As we all walk and worship, the Father and the Son.
