I will always remember you, your words,
the crazy things you did and said.
Though our time was as brief as a sigh
and our worlds so opposed, so apart
I think I realized from the start
that our souls were just meant
to touch for a brief moment in time
then we had to move on.

These bitter sweet memories
are all I have left of you.
Our love was not meant to be.
You said four, I say three,
too different to ever agree...
Two people with different dreams,
different views, going opposite ways.

Please don't think of me with contempt.
I choose to see only the goodness in you
though me leaving, perhaps made no sense
and pain and anger blinded your head
turning your feelings to hate.

My heart holds no grudges,
I hope all your dreams may come true,
that you'll live in peace and happiness and
that you'll find what you're looking for.
