Icarus Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Icarus

Poor youth, flying to Olympus
Flapping wings of wax
High above the clouds
Warned not to go near the sun.

Sun melting wax
Plunging him to earth
Body broken, crushed
Remembered, by those who dream.
