Ice Cold Heart Poem by Juan Olivarez

Ice Cold Heart

Winter dwells around her heart,
Frozen forever to the core.
Sunshine forever did depart,
And in her heart doth shine no more.

Don't ask the question on your lips,
Don't voice the thoughts inside your mind.
Be silent quote not any quipts,
And walk away, leave her behind.

There is no thing that you may do,
And nothing melts her heart of ice.
And yet she'll give you not a clue,
Though with all things you may entice.

She is alone and dead inside,
A hopeless case forever more.
There is no time that you may bide,
Her heart is locked behind steel doors.

A broken heart that will never mend,
The one she loved will ne'er return.
And she will never ever pretend,
Because he was her one concern.

War is hell right here on Earth,
Broken men and women mourn.
In this world there is no rebirth,
There are no roses, just bloody thorns.
