Ich Bin Ein Berliner Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Ich Bin Ein Berliner

Rating: 5.0

Ich bin ein Berliner
The famous words president John Franklin Kennedy spoke
when he visited Berlin
But aren't we all Berliners, New Yorkers,
Londeners, inhabitants or participants
of whatever place we stay in at that moment in time
for every place belongs to each one of us
it doesn't depend on identity alone
For association belongs to the mind
who believes to do so
and to the free spirit
who can roam freely every corner of our world
And wherever you are or stay
is called and known as home
A home wherein one can feel free and happy
without restrictions and taboos
Because on the end of the day
bin auch ich ein Berliner
so are you, he or she
so are we

Ich bin immer meinselbe, aber nimmer ein Berliner. I mache nur Humor, liebe Poet. Diese Wörter, JFK hatte gesagt, ist bekannt geworden in der Welt. I only make a joke here, but there's some truth in this poem shared. I always AM HOME where my loved one IS, and this poem is imaginable and brilliant. Thank you for sharing. Sincerely, Sylvia Frances Chan, Dutch poetess.
