Ideal Monochrome Poem by D.N. Rebb

Ideal Monochrome

Rating: 5.0

Undramatic monochrome
(at least in context to modern times)
It was fashionable to smoke,
back then, just about anywhere
When moms were moms,
and took care of it all

Perhaps our telly had no color,
but the gumball machines sure did
When kids were the palette,
while riding their bikes to the nearby pond,
where they would hang-out,
and do things they weren't supposed to do

Undramatic monochrome?
No, just a geometric box
On occasion, it aired some major game,
but mostly, it was just there
Pretty pictures already existed though,
one just needed to go outside
