Identity Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Identity

Rating: 5.0

All through your life
People will try to classify you
Under different genres and species
Under different races and classes
Under different castes and creeds

The only classification I admit
Is that of a human being
Even that gets blurred
When I sometimes feel
That I am one with the stones, the animals and the trees

Nature is a balm for the soul.. I agree, don't try to classify me. We all share our humanity but at the same time, each person is unique. A very thoughtful, poem of truth. Enjoyed. 10++++. Write on kind poetess.
