If I am given a bowl of rice
And a piece of bread,
Some curry
And a glass of water
For whole life
I can live
And if I am given a piece of cloth
To cover my body
For whole life

And if I am given no house to live in
I can live
But if I am given no poems daily
How can I live?

Some can live by daily sustenance. Just live life by being alive. Yet, life to some is beyond mere existing. It carries some meaning that will satisfy our soul, mind...the totality of our being. Poetry carries us to that realm where it can give meaning to life. A great solace and joy that no amount of material things can deliver.
