If... - Poem by Rakesh Manorath

If you were bald and had no hair
I'd give you all of mines for you to wear
If you were disabled and had no hands
I'd obey you, answer your every demands

If you were paralyzed and cannot walk
I'd walk the earth for you around the clock
If you were blind and cannot see
I'd describe the world for you to a tee

If you were weak and had no power
I'd give you my strength, hour by hour
If you were unfilled and had no heart
I'd replenish you with pieces of mines, part by part

If you were sick and had no cure
I'd be right by your side and we shall endure
And if you were bearing all of the above,
I'd still love you unconditionally, my love
