If Judas Poem by Randy McClave

If Judas

If Judas had a son or a daughter
Should they be led out to the slaughter,
Should they be hated and not trusted
Even before the nails have even rusted.
Because of their father's own betrayal
And by his own act and defrayal,
Trusting them should all people forbid
Because of what their father had did.
Could you ever trust any of those offsprings
Especially if they are around judges or kings,
And if in their pockets they had silver
Would you wonder what soul they did deliver.
Could you ever trust the child
Whose parent had lied, accused and then beguiled,
And then if they gave you a kiss on the cheek
Tell me, what would you then seek.
