If There Is A God - Poem by Katie Huntress

if there is a god,
then i ask why,
why does he let the dark things happen to uus,
can't he help us,
help us from the bad things in the world,
like guns, drugs, death, life,
if there is a god,
then why can't he help us?

Good poem. I covered the same questions in my 'A Question of Philosophy' poem, or rather Epicurus did some two plus thousands of years ago. (Report) Reply

I also believe that there is a God. Your effective poem has inspired me to write a poem called 'There is a God'. I don't know whether it will help you because on one level your questions are unanswerable. Sincerely, David. (Report) Reply
