**if You Were Different Poem by Sylvi Sylva

**if You Were Different

Rating: 3.0

Would it be logical to invite your foot into my lodging for your understanding
Would you spare a thought to the voice with no place to call home
Does it chill your nerves to be present with one living a crushed dream
Or will you not care, not notice ‘cause 'tis not your image
Should you 'haps only listen, if you were different or one of yours was different?

Would it make sense to ask you not to stare because of my appearance
Would it please your heart to say you cant be useful, can’t enter or sit around here
Does it alarm your bells when one is refused medical attention, care even a handshake
Or will you not care, not notice ‘cause 'tis not your business
Should you 'haps only listen, if you were different or one of yours was different?

Would it be rational to invite you to paint your skin the colour of mine
Would it satisfy your soul to know the colour of my veins
Does the hair on your skin spark when you gather or are seen with one not of your crowd
Or will you not care, not notice ‘cause 'tis not your style
Should you 'haps only listen, if you were different or one of yours was different?

Would it be sensible to ask you to adapt to seasons’ changes because of my attachments
Would it make your blood boil to shake my hand, sit with me, converse with me
Does it upset your principle of amity when one’s passion leans against your view
Or will you not care, not notice ‘cause 'tis not you child, your sibling
Should you 'haps only listen, if you were different or one of yours was different?

Would it only make sense if it was your business
Would it only be logical if it was your image
Would it only be rational if was your style
Would it only be sensible if it was your child, your sibling
Or will you only care, take notice if you or one of yours was different?
Should you listen, care or 'haps notice even if you were not different?

Dont be left out, make it your business, look the part, walk the walk, say it proud, your child or not, sibling and all, 'we are not all different'

Well done Sis. We're all from the same species, Homo Sapiens. Our bloods are red. You sent a clear message to them that we are what we are. Keep it up, pal.
