Ignorance Poem by Rose Preston

Ignorance

Rating: 4.5

My heart is heavy as led,
Just walking through a fog.
Everything seems clear..
And then I raise my head.

And as the tears blur my vision,
I know I’m not over you.
Yet I wonder to myself;
Would I change our fateful collision?

Would I change that day..
When we fell for each other.
So fast, so hard.
Never knew it would go this way.

Would I take back the lot
Had I knew?
Would I take back
Everything forgot.

And as I ask myself this,
I know the truth.
But now I realise,
That ignorance is bliss.
