Ignoring That The Facts Exist Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Ignoring That The Facts Exist

Play too cool and lose!
Many ultimately choose this to do.
Only to become alarmists,
After ignoring that the facts exist.

And denying them,
As if the opening of eyes...
Will chase them away,
From their comfortable places.

Like tolerating disrespectful children,
Thought to be cute...
Until what they do,
Incarcerates them in prison cages.
