Illicit Solicitations Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Illicit Solicitations

Illicit solicitations.
Visits to illuminate,
One with unrelenting narcissistic visions.
Obsessed with self serving gratification.
Regardless of what or who is used,
Becomes berated to degrade.
Or what is said,
As long as a kept selfishness is fed.

Illicit solicitations.
Criminal of intent and meant,
To feed a need to feast on ego.
With an attention to get,
Just for the fame.
And a name maintained to gain,
Glory.
And a reputation that sustains,
Accomplished and established...
On the backs of fools.
Easily tricked to dupe and delude.
