Imperfections Addressed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Imperfections Addressed

Truth to speak it.
Have it to hear and be heard.
Will always offend.
Those defending their pretensions.
But truth has never created,
Intentional conflicts to have them start.
Or racial divisions to accuse and blame,
On the ones without influence.
To parade their wealth or obtained fame.

Truth to speak it.
Have it to hear and be heard.
Seems to always offend,
Those who pretend,
Their lives to live...
Affords them to ignore,
Their flaws and blemishes.
Yet they can expose,
And mock others who have less.
Although their own imperfections,
Upsets them when addressed.
