Imperfectly You Poem by Matthew Holloway

Imperfectly You

Rating: 5.0

She walks with a beauty of her own
a unique kind of paradise like fruit
only the blessed or dammed may know
and my soul both weeps and cheers
celebrates and mourns her very being
for the inspiration to the arts is a joy
and her absence from touch a sorrow
like the Mona Lisa or Venus De Milo
there to be admired, there to inspire
there for all wonder and magnificence
beyond the barrier of touch
blessed be her beauty sweet muse
devout to music and poetry
angel of dreams and imagination
she walks, no glides through the air
every pleasure and fault is loved
sweet muse hollowed by name
who walks with a beauty of her own
whose name I whisper in each hour of the day
muse, beauty, love, soul, imperfectly
you
