Dear Mother,
I'm sorry it took me so long,
to see all of my wrongs. And
I know in all of your anxiety,
you were only trying to protect
me. And I know you loved me,
in the only way you knew love
to be. And in all, I am sorry love
wasn't kinder to thee.

Brings back fond memories of my own mother, who passed away more than 66 years ago...

Your sorry is like music to your mother! A wonderful poem so honestly and tenderly expressed.

A very touching and heartfelt poem. Despite all our inadequacies, our Mothers never cease to love and care for us. Their love is absolute and unconditional. This poem resonates to a lot of us if not all.

Happy Mothers day! A beautiful piece of reflection that really captures the love of a daughter for that mother who is holding back the gates of each day for her although she doesn't realize it. An extraordinary little poem!
