In Deep Distress Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

In Deep Distress

Rating: 5.0

Betrayed by his
best friend,
David cried out
in deep distress.

His soul was
restless,
oppressed
by wicked
men and distracted
by a multitude
of threats
from his evil
enemies.

Overwhelmed
by trouble,
broken-hearted
with grief,anguished
and in deep emotional
distress, sinking
into a bottomless
slough of despond
and yet despite his
overwhelming difficulties,
David was enabled
to turn his eyes
on the Lord,
and to cast his burdens.

He lived in
deep faith, that
God will never forsake him.

Cast all our cares
upon God Almighty,
for He cares for us.
