In praise by folks
Who keeps alive an old civilization?
I think it is village people who keep the scene
In live condition
With full honor to old tradition
Even religion is preserved
With purity so observed
In letter and sprit
With an urge to meet
They get deeply involved
When chant in folk thymes and openly danced
With drums and other instruments
The audience too feels so pleasant
Sometimes the praises are for kings
Who, in their opinion, tried to bring
Prosperity and stability
And took all steps for removal of poverty
So folk preserve
And bring it to serve
For us who have lost link
And now desperately think
I have heard their songs
They are mostly devotional slogans
It is in praise of an almighty
And they use words which are in use already
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
