In Search Of The Wisdom- Part 4 Poem by M. Asim Nehal

In Search Of The Wisdom- Part 4

Rating: 5.0

Near a cavernous lagoon
Surrounded by serene beauty
Two men sitting with fishing rods
Waiting for the prize catch
One has bait expensive and attractive
The other with the rod, he learned the hard ways
Cost saving and slogging
Never learned the technique
To pay first and then earn
And in his full naivety, never was lucky
In the end the first man
went with the prize catch
Celebrating and counting
The other one, with his rod and dejected face
The thin line which he never crossed and understood
Between the cost saving and artful investing.

This one is really great piece, very few have such experience to compare and co-relate this complicated subhject with such an ease.

I still at age 69 have not learned the lesson you are teaching, but your parable makes the situation clear enough even for a slow learner like myself. AND YOU NAMED THE TWO EXTREMES OF THIS FINANCIAL GAMBIT, NAMELY, ARTFUL INVESTMENT AND COST CUTTING. I hope I can find the middle! ! `
