Quiet in sleep you lie beside me, my lover
Tranquil, relaxed, beauty astounding,
And I watch you marvelling you love me.
Years have transgressed against us both
With me loving you even more each day.
Life in your presence is such sweetness and joy
Soulmates, journeying together, loving each other
Supporting, encouraging, when one stumbles and falls
Never questioning, rebuking when times are hard
Always seeing light glimmering ahead in the darkness.
You sigh wistfully in your sleep, call my name
I kiss your forehead, you smile, and sigh again
Time with you so precious and honeysuckle
Your beauty of body and soul enraptures my heart.
