Independence Day Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Independence Day

Rating: 5.0

How would they have got independence,
How would they have got the liberation finally,
How would it have been their glee, ecstasy and joy
On the eve of the independence,
You just imagine,
Imagine and do you not anything,
Say you not anything,
This will be enough for our commemoration of the day,
How would they have been decorating their dreams
Thinking about the nation and the flag
And would they have got years after
And what do the youths get from still now
Is a matter of reckoning
To come up to the expectation is the main thing,
Heard or unheard,
To turn up to hear them this much we too cannot,
Apart from thinking personally should I not about them,
Should I not think of helping those who cannot say their own things?
