Choose to walk the roads you want
Choose to cross the bridges you want
choose to worship the Gods you want
choose to live in the townships you want
this is our country full of freedom and graciousness.

The right to worship and religion is yours
the right to learn and educate is yours
the right to work and earn is yours
the right to life and peace is yours
this is our country which upholds equality and secularism.

The mountains and forests are our legacies
the oceans and seas are our resources
the traditions and culture are our inheritances
the mother-earth and nature are our bequeathals
this is our country which offers opportunities and liberties.

The right to believe in friendship and fraternity is ours
the right to believe in humanity and morality is ours
the right to name, fame and glory is ours
the right to pride and honour in our endowments is ours
this is our country which extends descretion
to every city and citizen, to every village and villager
to every dream, to every home, to every child and individual.

And whether we travel by those highways or by those railways,
by those bus-routes or by those air routes,
we always come home to our country called my India
so strong in unity, so diverse in cultures,
so confident in providence, so determined in progress
so reverent in religion, so grateful in gratitude
so vibrant in friendships, so endless in compassion
so tolerant in nature, so peaceful in existence
so speechless in love, so marvelous in hearts
our country teaches us of loyalty and humanity since inception.
