Nation first, always first
first in humanity,
first in fraternity
first in unity and veracity,
first in family and duty;

first in history of non-violence,
first in geography of peace
first in chemistry of amity
first in science and technology
first in yoga and ayurveda
first in mathematics and symmetry.

Our nation first, always first
first in everything
first in friendship
first in worship
first in devotion
first in dedication
first in commitments.

Our nation first, always first
first in harmony,
first in compassion
as one solid rock of unity
holds our country and its millions
of people together
by the blessing of independence
as our nation has stood strongly
and undivided, over the years.

Our nation first, always first
first in celebrations,
first in cricket and sports,
first in movies and entertainment;
and though our nation speaks
so many languages;
and though our nation has
so many religions to revere;
and though our nation has
so many rivers and lakes,
mountains and hills,
forests and fields,
our hearts keep rolling
with consistent vivacity and energy.

Our nation first, always first
in all ventures and endeavors
whether it is the farmers or the harvests
whether it is the satellite or the rockets
whether it is the education or the degrees
our youth always so enthusiastic
our future so re-assuring.

Our nation first, always first
in every dream and aspiration
in every goal and target
in every objective and achievement
as our country allots us opportunities
to progress and develop,
to attain our prosperity and providence.

Our nation first, always first
in compassion and generosity,
in healthcare and welfare
as our country provides ceaselessly
its support and assurance
to all its people constantly
without any discrimination,
without any inequality
without any delay or negligence
as the hospitals and the doctors
work round the clock to provide
timely care and treatment.

in all that we hold and enjoy
in our heritage and culture
in our customs and traditions
in our festivals and cordiality
that it makes us feel so proud
to be Indians
and our identity is known
by our humble nature
and modest attitude.

first in our wit and grit
first in our foods and flavours

as in our hearts
we always cherish and treasure
our freedom and our country so honorably.
