Inebriated Hypocrites Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Inebriated Hypocrites

Inebriated hypocrites.
Under the influence,
Of a lawlessness to commit.
Calling themselves 'Christians'.
Followers of Christ.
The Son of God.
Yet like locusts flocking,
Up to climb stairs.
And walls of the Capitol.
A building that represents,
Justice and laws to follow.
Made convinced,
By one who lies, deceives...
And sits to insist,
A frauding had been done.
To remove his leadership.
Fraudulently obtained.
With skillful corruption.
And incompetence maintained!

Violent and inebriated,
Came religious hypocrites.
Declaring, 'In God We Trust'.
Busting up glass doors.
Windows.
Like a horde of barbarians.
Released from caves.
From a distant past.
While their leader laughed.
To watch it all on TV.
Safely and hidden,
Somewhere nowhere near...
The chaos and destruction,
He promised he would lead.

Leaving inebriated hypocrites,
Duped to trick.
And used as fools.
Mindless and unconscious.
To what themselves they do.

Yet claiming themselves,
Christians.
Told to kill and end the truth.
And thousands arrived,
To do just that.
Carrying weapons.
Pipebombs.
And swinging American flags.
On poles.
Not to wave as patriots.
But to beat on the backs,
On those assigned...
To protect their freedoms.
And entitlements to turn,
Their way of life...
Into crashing trashed disaster!

Hypocrites!
Inebriated!
By one.
Selling deception.
Division.
Fraud and racism.
Bought and sold to those,
Calling themselves 'Christians'.
Believers of God.
Yet followers of one,
Who incites to ignite evil deeds!

'They call themselves...
Patriots? '

-Yes! -

'Protectors of democracy? '

-Yes! -

'White supremists.
Yet anti-jew.
Black, Brown, Asian and mulatto
Too! '

-You see them.
Just like I do.-

'Wasn't Jesus a Jew? '

-Yes! -

'Isn't the Pope Latino?
And Mother Theresa,
Ghandi.
Weren't they Indians?
Born in India? '

-Yes!
And Hitler did not have,
Blond hair or the bluest of eyes.-

'What has happened,
To the minds of these people? '

-Freedom to fiction and delude.
With entitlements to get,
That has guaranteed...
The use of common sense,
Is as meaningless to value...
As respect to give it or receive! -

'That's crazy.'

-But kept precious to keep,
For the many who display this...
Publicly.
Like a...
Hypocrisy that has been,
Influenced by an inebriation! -

'Whatever!
The 'initiation' is still crazy stuff! '
