Inquisition Poem by Dr Dillip K Swain

Inquisition

Rating: 5.0

Oh God,
You created this beautiful earth
Each bit of your creation is so lovely
Amazing, marvelous, and outstanding
In its own appearance and identity!

I am startled that a poor man
Is struggling for bread and butter
To fill his empty stomach
To satiate his hunger
In spite of being so honest
Simple, sober, and truthful
Alas! He's leading a poignant life!

But, a rich self-centered man who is
So dishonest, cruel, merciless
Inhuman, blood-thirsty
Is earning a lot and leading
A luxurious and plausible life!

Why there is a difference?

Why have you written hardship,
pains and perils in the fate
of a naive neglected poor man
who is so honest and simple?

Could I get an answer
to this typical inquisition?

perhaps God wants us to grown in heart and take care of the lost ones, the lonely ones, the starving ones---and in that way saves the poor man as well as the richer one---tis a thought... that sounds rather God-breathed into the hearts of man---
