Insomniac Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Insomniac

Eyes lie in wake, in search of dreams to come.
The suddenness of sleep approaches.
Creeping around eyelids.
A sudden urge of comfort, smothering every thought that struggles to stay awake.
Eyes fight for a moments time, until the inevitable.
The shutter of eyelashes,
The manifestation of quiet breaths spoke a loud in elation.
In a moments time.
Forever seems an long time
especially if your an insomniac
